Felix Dixon is from the Otago Peninsular on New Zealand’s South Island and grew up surfing the amazing variety of cold water waves found along the south coast.

He started shaping boards in 2005 while on the Gold Coast of Australia, shaping at Darcy's factory in Currumbin. He then moved back to NZ in 2006 and worked, for his main sponsor Billabong, as Team Manager and events Co-ordinator.

Still shaping boards for friends and fellow team riders he started Feestix Surfboards in 2009.

“I've always been so stoked on performance boards and always wanted to know what made that magic board so special. Darcy looked after me with amazing shapes for a long time which is where I learnt some of the key ingredients in that special board and also realised the importance of a close relationship with your shaper.”

Feelix has surfed competitively over the years and represented New Zealand for both Junior and Open Men at the ISA World surfing games. Highlights were 1st in the under 18 New Zealand National Scholastic championships in 2000 & 9th in the Open Mens ISA World Surfing Games, Ecuador, 2004.

He now shares his time between the shaping bay and chasing waves around the globe… his latest surf mission was a recent cold water trip to Ireland, there’s a short video coming soon, it’s pretty sick.
