Surfboard Sprays

Jack has been involved with surfboard sprays since the dawn of time.  He is one of the top surfboard sprayers / artists in the country.  You name it he can do it, from detailed surfboard sprays - pin lines to stencil work and posca pens, as well as being a talented photographer.  He has worked in surfboard factories across Europe as well as New Zealand. You can see more of Jacks Surfboard Sprays in the gallery.

The first job for Jack is to read the board order form carefully.

On this occasion he was asked to copy the stripes from the customer's girlfriends sock, no joke we had a photo of a sock.

The second job is to mask off the separate colours and the sections of the board to remain white.

The paint is applied using high pressure air guns.

As the colours are applied to the surfboard the next section gets unmasked and the section just sprayed is masked over. It is a very time consuming task and the spray room is the most dependant on very good preparation and organisation.

So stop doing your stupid dancing and get on with it Jack.
