Cooper Surfboards

Cooper Surfboards

Shapes from the 60's alternative surf star, Bob Cooper.

Bob was one of the first surfing Americans to visit Australia and to take permanent residence there.  Bob Cooper had a considerable influence on surfing and surfboard design in 1960’s in both Australia and America.  He began surfing at Malibu, Northern California, in 1952 and saw the sport develop step by step and the inevitable onslaught of commercialism.

Cooper’s surfboards are highly functional. With shaping experience that dates back to the early 60’s Bob shapes boards that maximise wave count with the bonus of great manoeuvrability. The shortboards are dynamic shapes that are designed for heavier surfers that still want a surfboard that will turn well. Experienced older/heavier surfers enjoy these shapes and also the high volume nature of the shapes lend themselves well to lighter weight, less experienced surfers looking for a high volume shortboard to progress on.

Coopers Longboards contain all of Bob’s timeless style. Highly functional designs that blend performance with glide.
